Suzhou Bay

under Fender Katsalidis Architects for masterplanning competition 

Client: Council of Suzhou, China
Brief: Closed competition to redevelop the harbourside of the prominient Tai Lake in Suzhou, China. The design proposal integrates a complete pedestrian public area towards Tai Lake defined by the commercial high rises, with a landmark skyscraper and canyon-like underground retail space. Also included is a cultural & arts centre and business city, both with distinct cultural design sensitivity.
